‘Blacklist’ renewed for Season 10 on NBC

Black list The name isn’t out yet: NBC has renewed the James Spader crime drama for a tenth season, TVLine is known.
Spader personally confirmed the news on Tuesday’s episode of Tonight’s show. He plays master criminal Red Reddington, who works with the FBI to track down the world’s most dangerous fugitives.
Seasonally so far, Black list is attracting an average of 5.1 million viewers and a 0.6 demo rating in Live + 7 numbers – down just a tick from the Season 8 average (5.5 million / 0.7). Of the 10 TV series NBC has aired so far this season, it ranks 9th in both measures, just behind freshmen. Ordinary Joe.
Season 9 looked very different, both in front of and behind the camera. Just days before the show’s Season 8 finale in June, news broke that lead lady Megan Boone was planning to leave the show, with the finale being her last. During the installment period, Boone’s Liz was shot dead by one of Neville Townsend’s henchmen, and Boone call her running eight seasons in the program “my whole life inside my own life… What a dream. Thank for all.”
The day after the finale aired, series creator Jon Bokenkamp – who was a writer and executive producer on Seasons 1 to 8 – announced he will also be departing drama before Season 9 to “step out of my comfort zone, try something new, and explore a few other characters and stories that popped into my head.”
“I truly believe that the series is still full of life, with strong creative power and bright days ahead,” Bokenkamp said at the time. “So now I join you – as a fan – to see where Black list take us next. ”
The official synopsis for Season 9 states that “in the two years following Elizabeth Keen’s death, Raymond Reddington and members of the FBI Task Force have disbanded – their lives have now changed in unexpected ways and Reddington’s whereabouts unknown. Each at a crossroads, a common goal forces them to renew their original mission: to destroy the dangerous, evil, and eccentric Blacklists. In the process, they begin to uncover dangerous enemies, unimaginable conspiracies, and surprising betrayals that will threaten alliances and fuel past vengeance. the most cunning criminal of them all – Raymond Reddington at the helm. ”
Black listSeason nine continues in a new timeframe starting this Friday, February 25 at 8/7c.
