Bitter explosion is here, how long will it last? – CBS Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The chill has come.
It will continue through today and into tomorrow morning. We now have some good news this morning as the clouds coming in from Lake Erie have helped keep temperatures from rising a bit above what we expected.

By 6 a.m., temperatures in Pittsburgh will bottom out around 10 degrees.
We still have almost two hours to go before sunrise as I’m writing this, so the temperature could still easily drop into the digits.
Even so, the cold wind had been near zero all morning.
The cold weather will persist through Saturday morning, where the air temperature will be colder than this morning’s temperature. The wind will be lighter and you can expect the cold wind to be a little closer or warmer than the cold wind this morning.
Saturday’s peak will rise to 20 years old. Clouds will also arrive in the afternoon with southwesterly winds in the afternoon.
There is a chance the snow will return on Sunday afternoon and into the evening.
At this point, it looks like most places will have less than an inch of snow overall.
The highest temperature on Sunday should be near 30 degrees with a low in the morning at 18. Winds will pick up after the snow on Sunday night, sending chills close to zero again.
Snow is also possible Tuesday with around 1 inch of snow expected.
