VISITORS to Snowdonia National Park have seen big cats and found giant paw prints.
Hiker Stephanie Robinson reported seeing a “brown or tan big cat” on Snowdon’s Pyg Track.
She said: “I heard a growl coming from a cave. I kept silent because I didn’t want to lure this wild animal in front of me.”
One feral camper said he heard squeaks at night and saw “golden eyes” reflected in his flashlight.
A third said they spotted a large black animal at Pen Braich, about 12 miles north.
She said, “I tried to approach it, but it disappeared into the forest.”
Another man discovered a footprint in an abandoned quarry.
He said: “It was bigger than my fist.”
The sightings were reported to Puma Watch North Wales.
