Betty White died of a stroke 6 days earlier

According to her death certificate, Betty White died of a stroke 6 days before her death on December 31 at the age of 99.

The beloved “Golden Girls” and “Mary Tyler Moore Show” actor passed away at his home in the Brentwood, Los Angeles area as a result of a cerebrovascular accident on December 25, the medical term for a stroke, according to an LA County death certificate obtained by the Associated Press Monday.

The cause was given by White’s doctor, which is typical of such cases.

She was cremated and her remains were given Friday to Glenn Kaplan, White’s advanced healthcare directive.

Jeff Witjas, White’s agent and longtime friend who first confirmed her death to the AP, said she was close to home in Los Angeles during the pandemic.

The document lists White’s legal name as Betty Marion Ludden. She took her husband’s last name, Allen Ludden, to whom she was married from 1963 until his death in 1981.

Information from the death certificate was first reported by TMZ.

White, whose comics and anything-anything appeal have made her a television mainstay for more than 60 years and celebrated by generations of fans, has died less than three weeks before her fifth birthday. Her 100.

President Joe Biden, Mel Brooks, and many other celebrities and eminent leaders paid their respects after her death.
