Ben Stokes destroys the mocking Australian press with ‘tweet of the decade’ after portraying him as a baby in the wake of the Ashes scandal

BEN STOKES hilariously ruffled the Australian press as the ‘cheater’ row entered its third day over the Lord.

The England captain was pictured as a baby on the front of the West Australian after reacting furiously to the sacking of Jonny Bairstow.

But the perceptive skipper noticed a small problem with the graphics.

In response, Stokes tweeted: “Definitely not me, since when have I been bowling the new ball?”

And one fan replied: “Tweet of the decade 😆🙌❤👍Ben”

Another tweeted: “That’s great from Ben Stokes.”

And a third wrote: “Ben Stokes hasn’t lost his sense of humor. Well done buddy. #Ashes is fun.”

England were beside themselves with anger after Alex beat Carey Bairstow with the batsman and thought the over was over.

And tensions boiled over in the Long Room as angry Lord members took on Usman Khawaja in unprecedented scenes.

It continued as the Aussies climbed the stairs to the dressing room and the members could be seen booing and hissing.

The reaction from the angry members was slightly overdone for Australian outfielder Matt Renshaw, who appeared to point in their direction and laugh.

Hostilities resume at Headingley on Thursday, where tensions are set to heat up even further as the Long Room spikes give way to a rowdy Western Terrace.
