Ben Chilwell returns to Chelsea training ground with crutches to begin rehabilitation after knee surgery

BEN CHILWELL returned to Chelsea training ground on crutches on Monday to begin his rehabilitation.
The Blues left-back is facing months on the sidelines having to undergo knee surgery for a partial ACL tear he received in November.
On December 30, he supported the fans after operation.
And the English man was back in Cobham but limping on crutches.
Chilwell posted a snap of herself on Instagram upon arrival at the training complex.
And he captioned it: “Back to the building.”
It received over 248,000 likes and over 3,000 comments.

Chelsea announced he will need surgery to repair the damage caused.
An official statement said: “Following a knee injury in the match against Juventus, Chelsea’s medical department, in collaboration with their knee specialist, decided to try a rehabilitation approach.
“Unfortunately, Ben has not been able to make progress and therefore the general decision has been made to proceed this week with a corrective surgery.”
As a result, the defender is likely to be out for the rest of the season.

The left-back is not the only name on Thomas Tuchel’s injury list.
And the German expressed his disappointment over the club’s injury crisis following Chelsea’s 1-1 draw with Brighton.
He said: “We don’t have full-backs anymore, we have people injured and players coming back from the Covid situation and we are playing.”
