Ben, 11, the son of John Travolta and his late wife Kelly Preston, looks so grown up in a rare photo with doting dad and new puppy

JOHN Travolta and his son Ben were all smiles as they presented their new furry family member.

The doting dad shares the 11-year-old, who looked so grown up holding up his puppy, with his late wife Kelly Preston.

John, 68, shared the cutest snap on his Instagram page with a new pal on Monday.

“Ben adopted this dog from last night’s Oscars tribute to Betty White,” he wrote, standing over his son in a black shirt and beard.

Ben rocked a tank top and sported short brown hair, freckles and a smile as he held up his new pup.

“Thanks @curtisleejamie & @pawworks,” John concluded.

During the In Memoriam segment at the 2022 Oscars, Jamie Lee Curtis, who was tagged in John’s post, actually walked out with the cute animal.

During her speech, Jamie Lee stated, “The greatest gift you can give Betty White is to open your heart and home and adopt a rescue dog like Mac-N-Cheese from Paw Works.”

She was holding the adorable brown-haired puppy, apparently named Mac-N-Cheese.

“So thank you Betty, thank you for being a friend to all of us,” Jamie Lee concluded of the late Golden Girls star, who was lost in 2021 – referring to the show’s theme song.

After Jamie Lee urged viewers to accept rescues, and it seemed like John and his son did just that.

“Yay dude, just just you,” Sharon Stone captioned John’s post with heart emojis.

“I couldn’t love this more,” gushed one fan.

“Thanks for the adoption,” wrote a third.

TRAGICAL TURNS

John’s four-legged new family member in honor of Betty White comes after his own mountain of tragedy.

Ben is one of the Grease actor’s three children with the late Kelly, the eldest is Ella, 21 – previously the eldest was the late Jett.

The couple’s eldest son, 16-year-old Jett, died in 2009 after suffering a seizure at the family’s vacation home in the Bahamas.

Kelly said at the time: “No one should have to lose a child. It’s unfathomable.

11 years later, Ms. Kelly died on July 12, 2020 after a two-year secret battle with breast cancer. She was 57.

Just three months after Kelly’s shocking death, John suffered another loss when his nephew Sam Travolta Jr. died at his home in Mount Horeb, Wisconsin – he would brag about being a “struggling screenwriter” and John helped him.

BEN GROWS UP

Ben appears on John’s Instagram page occasionally, including around New Year’s Eve 2021 and over Christmas 2021.

John posted a cute video of him, the boy and his sister Ella kicking it in bed and reading a book.

Under a November 2021 photo with Ben – who had longer strawberry blonde hair at the time – John wrote: “Happy birthday my beautiful boy. Your father adores you.”

On Halloween Day, the father and son posed for a selfie on the beach, in keeping with their tradition of holiday posts.

Benjamin smiled as his now-bald father snapped the photo as the sun went down.

John wrote in the caption: “Happy Halloween everyone! What was your favorite candy bar growing up on Halloween?”

Daughter Ella joined in, excitedly commenting, “Reese’s!!”
