Beloved Trader Joe’s item is discontinued for good and fans are beyond ‘disappointed’

TRADER Joe’s fans have been left disappointed after one of the retailer’s Coconut Aminos ranges was cancelled.

As of 2021, the fate of the retail giant’s Coconut Aminos sauce has been at stake.

The smoky barbecue version of Coconut Aminos was discontinued last year.

The product was reportedly canceled due to a lack of popularity with customers.

The BBQ version of Coconut Aminos was advertised at $3.29 per bottle with a sign that said “Discontinuing Soon.”

It saw a Reddit user say, “WHAT? I WILL NEVER SURVIVE.”

Others added that they were “disappointed” and called it “my favorite thing”.

However, one employee commented on the post, supporting the idea that it was not a popular product.

They wrote, “As someone who has worked for the company for 4 years, I don’t think I’ve ever called this point.”

Speaking of its discontinued items, the retailer said: “Our mission is to bring you the best quality products at the best prices.

“To achieve this, we need to manage our store space intelligently. When a product doesn’t deserve its place on our shelves, we discontinue it to make room for something new.

“We don’t take the decision to buy a product lightly. We understand it can be disappointing – even devastating.

“We cordially invite you to share your thoughts on a product that you miss.”

In 2021, Trader Joe’s original Coconut Aminos suffered from a shortage for a little over a year.

This led to concerns that it had been discontinued.

However, to the relief of fans, it has been back on shelves since January of this year with no indication that it has been cancelled.

A reviewer of the range described the product as ideal for those avoiding soy-containing foods, as coconut amino acids make a good alternative to soy sauce and tamari.
