“McFamily lost a flashlight today. Ruthie Shuster’s sunny optimism brought joy to all who knew her. We treasure her vivacious spirit in our memories and hold our deepest sympathies with her loved ones,” said Michael Delligatti, owner of the McDonald’s Big Mac Museum. in a statement.
KDKA caught Shuster on her 99th birthday last year. She says “age means nothing to me” and you can definitely tell by the way she walks and works energetically.
The restaurant’s sign now reads: “Rest in peace, Ruthie. Thanks sunshine! ”
