Beloved chain with more than 400 stores to close store after 20 years – but there’s good news for shoppers on the way

THE popular fashion chain Buckle has announced that one of its stores will be closing after 20 years in business.
But the retailer isn’t leaving the city of Jackson, Michigan, for good as bosses open a new store.

Buckle has been a fixture at Westwood Mall for more than two decades, but the store’s days appear to be numbered as it could close on October 1, according to MLive.
But shoppers shouldn’t worry because a new store is opening in Jackson Crossing – a shopping center that houses dozens of retailers.
The mall is home to major chains such as Buffalo Wild Wings, Lowe’s, Kohl’s and TJ Maxx.
Amy Deeter, Buckle’s district manager, told MLive that the new store is expected to open Oct. 3.
She revealed that the new store will open an hour earlier and close an hour later.
Deeter said the new store will feature hardwood floors instead of carpet.
Chiefs hope the store will receive traffic from drivers using Interstate 94.
Deeter said: “Hopefully this will allow more people to discover us and buy jeans from us.”
She said the brand is excited to move into the new space in Jackson.
Deeter added: “We want it to be as successful as possible for our guests, our business and our manager.”
Buckle has been part of the American retail scene since 1948 and is headquartered in Nebraska.
The chain, known for its range of clothing products, has more than 400 stores in the United States.
The impending closure of the Buckle store in Jackson, Michigan comes just months after bosses closed their store at Northlake Mall in Charlotte, North Carolina.
