Battlefield 2042 Skin renamed after it was discovered to have a connection to the Russo-Ukrainian War

A clear skin Battlefield 2042 was being renamed after it was found to have ties to the Russo-Ukrainian War.

Now that Battlefield 2042 is in early access, many players are quickly taking a look at everything the game has to offer to see what they can unlock and earn while playing. During their search, several players discovered that Russian expert Pyotr “Boris” Gukovsky had an epic costume known as “Little Green Man.”

This upsets many people, including @Waggle_ua, who asked Battlefield 2042 developer DICE, “are you satisfied with joking that Russian terrorists have occupied part of my country?”

For those who don’t know, the phrase little green men is related to Russian soldiers took part in the annexation of Crimea during the Ukraine crisis in 2014. These soldiers wore unbranded green uniforms and although they carried Russian equipment, Russia initially denied they were from their own country.

Russian President Vladimir Putin finally confirmed that these “little blue men” were Russians, and it turned out that they were special forces sent to Crimea.

DICE replied to @Waggle_ua, saying “We sincerely appreciate you informing us of this. The use of this name was accidental and you helped us make a positive change in the game. Thank you.”

The developer also confirmed that they will “change the name in an upcoming update” and that although “it accidentally refers to a real-world issue”, it “doesn’t reflect our group’s values.” I.”
