Barcelona have held an ‘internal meeting’ to discuss a transfer offer for Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin

BARCELONA have reportedly held an “internal meeting” over a possible nosedive for Arsenal ace Hector Bellerin.
Bellerin spent last season on loan at Real Betis and has fallen out of favor since returning to the Emirates with Takehiro Tomiyasu and Cedric Soares in front of him in the pecking order.

According to Sport, Barca are interested in the full-back and have been in talks as they consider an offer to sign him ahead of the September 1 transfer deadline.
Barcelona manager Xavi is in dire need of a new right-back but the club have been unable to sign Borussia Dortmund’s Thomas Meunier and Villarreal’s Juan Foyth as they were deemed too expensive.
However, the 27-year-old Bellerin has one year left on his Arsenal contract and is therefore carrying a cheaper price tag.
The Spain international is also seen as a sensible move as he understands the ‘Barca way’ after leaving the club’s famous La Masia academy.
The 27-year-old is keen to leave the Gunners and return to his homeland but would prefer a return to Betis.
The Spaniard enjoyed a successful loan spell at Seville as he helped Manuel Pellegrini’s men win the Copa del Rey.
Bellerin is so desperate to leave the Emirates that he has even asked the north Londoners to end his £110,000-a-week contract.
Barcelona are expected to sack Sergino Dest who has been linked with a move to Manchester United.
