Aymeric Laporte joins Ilkay Gundogan, Phil Foden and John Stones in Man City’s US pre-season tour

AYMERIC Laporte has reportedly canceled Man City’s pre-season tour of the United States along with Ilkay Gundogan, Phil Foden and John Stones.

Gundogan, Foden and Stones will join the U23 squad touring Europe, the Mail reports.
It is not yet known if Laporte will join them instead.
Reasons why the seniors are missing from the squad were not given.
But City are far from the only Premier League side where players will miss pre-season tours.
Crystal Palace only have 10 outfield players for their Singapore and Australia tour because some ‘did not meet the entry requirements’.
Wilfried Zaha and Marc Guehi are among those who have not travelled.
Palace have not confirmed whether the absences are Covid-related.
Meanwhile, Chelsea midfielders N’Golo Kante and Ruben Loftus-Cheek have been forced to miss the Blues’ trip to America due to their Covid vaccination status, the club said.
