But the game was marred by a horrific accident that saw a visiting team supporter hospitalized with the help of La Real doctor Javier Barrera.

According to Mundo Deportivo, a 49-year-old man has had the ring finger on his left hand partially amputated.

As reported by “AS”, another fan picked up the severed finger and kept it in an ice pack, which was immediately sent to the hospital for surgery.

He spent Thursday night in hospital after a four-hour operation but was cleared to fly back to Spain the next day.

The same report suggests that the accident happened outside the stadium before the game had even started.

He climbed a fence to get a better look, and then the disaster happened.

Unfortunately, the fan lost its grip and fell with a caught finger.

Sociedad President Jokin Aperribay and the team doctor visited the supporter on Friday after the game against Roma.

The club also got him a seat on the team’s charter flight so he can get home quicker.

The LaLiga giants also offered him a jersey worn by Takefusa Kubo in the game.

The fan seemed in good spirits after landing as he showed “good cheer” at the airport.
