Good afternoon and welcome to our coverage of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Super 12 match between England and Australia.

England arrive here after a humiliating defeat by Ireland on Wednesday.

Rain meant the result was decided by DLS but that will be some consolation for an England side who have struggled throughout the competition.

Australia, meanwhile, swept aside Sri Lanka in Perth thanks to an impressive force emanating from their middle order.

The host nation initially struggled to respond to Sri Lanka’s 157 until notably Glenn Maxwell and Marcus Stoinis threw up some quick runs after the power play to allow them to reach their goal with more than three overs remaining.

Stoinis’ innings broke the record for fastest T20 international ever when he finished with 59 balls from just 18 balls.

England have come into this tournament with a full batting team, but so far none of their star players have quite lived up to the bill.

That being said, it only takes someone like Joss Buttler or Liam Livingstone to spend some time at the kink and England could take that game away from Australia very quickly.

Sparks always fly when these old foes clash, and this match proves to be no different.
