Atletico Madrid 1 Real Madrid 2: Los Blancos win maniacal derby against 10-man rivals marred by vile racist chants

However, the real joy was overshadowed by “monkey” calls from Atletico supporters before the game.

And claims have hit social media from stewards doing nothing to stop the behavior outside Atleti’s Wanda Metropolitano stadium.

Such anger at the chants kindled the fuse for another violent derby.

And Carlo Ancelotti’s men responded best, recording nine wins from nine games this season, their sixth in LaLiga.

But Atletico threatened twice early on in this heated duel.

Felipe headed a Rodrigo de Paul free-kick wide and Yannick Carrasco deflected a shot wide.

But Real scored a brilliant net after the first chance in the 18th minute.

The in-form Brazilian striker Rodrygo confidently completed Aurelien Tchouameni’s beautiful pass.
