At Ronda Rousey’s Browsey Acres ranch, where the WWE and UFC star raises Wagyu beef with her husband Travis Browne
EVERYDAY LIFE for Ronda Rousey couldn’t be further from the mayhem of Wrestlemania.
The 35-year-old WWE star will face Charlotte Flair for the Smackdown Women’s Championship at Wrestlemania 38 on April 2.

But away from the ring, Rousey and husband Travis Browne spend their time perfecting and running a California eco-ranch.
The couple founded Browsey Acres in 2017 after relocating from their previous office in the bustling Los Angeles suburb of Venice.
Five years later, the one-time WWE Diss of the Year winner is now trading a very different kind of beef – the Ragyu steak.
Rousey rose to fame in the UFC, winning the women’s bantamweight crown in 2012 and successfully defending the belt six times.
Her last Octagon appearance was in 2016 and she has since transitioned to WWE and has enjoyed a distinguished career as a feared SmackDown diva.
Along with MMA husband Browne, Rousey returned to her childhood Riverside home to rebuild her life on 2.6 acres of isolated land.
Originally joking that they wanted to move to prepare for a zombie apocalypse, the couple have built their “sustainable ranch home” from the ground up.
Rousey explains, “A lot of my early memories were of being able to walk around and go to the back and pick raspberries.
“I always wanted to be able to offer my children this off-the-grid living experience.
“My dream is that our family can live comfortably on less money each year and one day free us from worrying about a steady stream of income.”
“OUR ANIMALS ARE PASSING”
Along with Browne, Rousey shares the rural setting with his sons Kaleo and Keawe and newcomer La’akea.
Designed and built by the fighting couple, the ranch features goats, a donkey, chickens, ducks and three dogs.
But the star attraction is Rousey’s Wagyu beef, with award-winning bull Kobe getting the ball rolling after the pair turned to sustainable meat production.
The Browsey Acres website explains, “Kobe the steer is the starting point of Browsey Acres.
“He was Ronda and Travis’ first Wagyu bull and the reason it all exists now.
“Kobe spent his years on Browsey Acres drinking beer, roaming freely and playing with the goats.
“Kobe will always be revered as he wasn’t just meat — he was family.”
Browne provided regular updates on Kobe during the Cow’s time on the ranch before finally meeting his destiny in 2019.
The MMA star explained: “All the animals here are spoiled as fuck, man.
“But that’s a good thing. We imagined this place as a kind of sanctuary.
“Even at the end of the day we’ll eat Kobe, for a cow he’s had a pretty good life.”
Away from the Octagon, Rouse and Browne say they poured their “blood, sweat and tears” into turning the ranch from nothing into a full-fledged farm.
And they spend most of their working day being busy, whether it’s feeding the animals or cleaning out the stables.
Rousey regularly updates her millions of followers on YouTube with videos detailing daily life on the property.
“WE CREATE A HOME TOGETHER”
She became a vegan in 2008 after visiting Beijing and explained why the project as a whole was so important to the struggling couple.
Rousey said: “We’re making a home together, you want that pride of doing it with your own bare hands.
“I enjoy this stuff, why would I pay someone else to do something I can do?”
Rousey and Browne wed in 2017 and seem happier than ever with the life they’ve built for themselves away from the day job.
UFC star Browne said: “Home is where the heart is, right?
“My heart is with Ronda so wherever she is I am determined. It’s nice to build something that’s yours.”
After a more than two-year absence from the wrestling ring, Rousey returned in style at the Royal Rumble in January 2022.
Since then, she’s made six more appearances, bringing her current winning streak into a showdown with Charlotte Flair at Wrestlemania 38.
Rousey called Charlotte ahead of the big fight and is confident her tough UFC experience will lead her to victory.
She wrote on Instagram: “Ever since I was a kid, every time I was choked or held by the arm in competition, I’ve either fought to the point of passing out or they’ve dislocated my elbow.
“You have to kill me before I get out, [Charlotte].”
