At least ten dead and 11 injured in horrific bus crash after bus overturned on roundabout in Australia

At least 10 people have been killed and 11 injured in a terrible bus accident in Australia.

The tragic accident happened when a tour bus overturned at a roundabout on Wine Country Drive near the Hunter Expressway exit in Greta.

The city is 25 miles from Newcastle.

The bus driver, a 58-year-old man, was taken to hospital under police guard for a mandatory examination and assessment. BNO reports.

According to police, the 11 passengers were taken to hospital by plane or ambulance, while 18 others were unharmed.

New South Wales Police said in a statement: “Initial investigations indicate 10 people have died.”

“Eleven people were taken to hospital by helicopter and by road, 18 passengers were unharmed.”

The accident happened just after 11:30 p.m. local time and its cause is still unknown.

A crime scene has been identified and is being investigated by Special Police and the Crash Investigation Unit.
