At least 40 passengers are “burned alive” in horror bus crash after bus plunges off cliff in Pakistan

AT LEAST 40 people were ‘burned alive’ in horrific crash in Pakistan.
The vehicle plunged off a cliff into a ravine in the country’s mountainous Bolochistan region and burst into flames in the early hours of Sunday.

It is believed to have carried 44 passengers from Quetta to Karachi.
Hamza Anjum Nadeem, deputy commissioner of Lasbela district, confirmed that the bodies of 40 people had been recovered and four passengers had been rescued.
Among the dead were women and children.
Rescue workers reportedly had difficulty getting to the crash site due to the cold weather in the morning.
Deputy Commissioner Nadeem said: “The accident occurred due to speeding and the bus crashed into the pillar of a bridge.
“It caught fire just after it fell into the ravine.”
He added that the bodies were charred beyond recognition and DNA sampling was underway to try to identify them.
After they have been identified, their remains will be given to their loved ones.
The Prime Minister of Balochistan, Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo, expressed his sadness at the tragedy and asked the local authorities to provide the injured with the best possible medical care.
