Several teenagers were shot dead in what police described as a shooting near an apartment complex in southwest Atlanta on Saturday night.

A 14-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy were killed, and several other victims, as young as 11, were hospitalized.
Atlanta Deputy Police Chief Charles Hampton Jr. said the shooting began as an argument on social media that escalated into a shooting when a group of teenagers armed with firearms entered the apartment complex.
He said: “I hate talking about kids and gunshots here.
“All we ask is that parents know where their children are, know what they are doing, check rooms.
“There are just too many guns in the hands of our youth.
“As I said a few weeks ago, this should be a time when we are getting ready for the holidays, but we have at least two families who will be planning funerals.”
A separate shooting across state in Valdosta on Saturday also resulted in the deaths of two people and two others were hospitalized.
Police are still hunting suspected gunman Dontavius Dennis, 31, saying he is armed and dangerous, with warrants out for his arrest.

One person was killed and three others injured when gunfire rang out around 2am and police believe there may have been multiple gunmen.
Several people were shot dead across Arizona over the weekend, including a woman who was gunned down in a car.
A man was also hospitalized with serious injuries after the shooting, which occurred around 3:30 a.m. Saturday in South Phoenix.

Police are hunting a suspect after a man was shot dead in his Glendale backyard around 1am that same night.
The man who reportedly shot him ran from the scene before police arrived, and witnesses told police there was a scuffle between the victim and the alleged suspect before he opened fire.
