Aston Villa and Tottenham sent an encouraging transfer message to Arnaut Danjuma

Kevin Hatchard says Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa transfer target Arnaut Danjuma is a ‘really good dynamic’ player.

The European football pundit added that Villarreal are looking for a deal for their winger, who is wanted by a host of Premier League clubs including Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur and Unai Emery’s Aston Villa.

Danjuma has tried Premier League football before, having played Bournemouth under Eddie Howe before being relegated to the Championship.

Since then he has made great strides in his career, including reaching the semi-finals of the Champions League last season under Emery’s stewardship.

Could Emery’s past relationship with the 25-year-old work in Villa’s favour? Well, he certainly fits in the Midlands.

European football pundit Hatchard gave an overview of Danjuma as he nears a move to the Premier League, as he told Transfer Talk on Sky Sports.

“Villarreal are looking for a deal, they’ll be happy to loan him out with a promise of money later,” Hatchard said.

“He had a really good season when they reached the semi-finals of the Champions League. He was a big, big part of what they did. He has always spoken about the appeal of the Premier League. He’s always talked about wanting to return to England.

“If we get the Danjuma that we got last season that played consistently, Unai Emery will be gone. I think there is a really good dynamic player who can play wide and down the middle. We saw in the Champions League that he’s definitely promoted.”

DANJUMA FITS VILLA

Tottenham’s problems aren’t in attack, in fact one could argue he wouldn’t start if Spurs signed him.

Antonio Conte will need a right-back and a centre-back more than a striker this month given that Daniel Levy isn’t spending money easily.

For Villa and Emery, they are looking for a player with Leon Bailey’s profile to add extra depth to the team.

Someone like Danjuma fits those criteria and it wouldn’t be a surprise if he ended up in Villa Park.
