Aston Villa 2 Arsenal 4: Emi Martinez scores incredible last-minute own goal as Gunner’s title hopes get back on track

ARSENAL’s Premier League title defense is back under way after a dramatic injury-time own goal from Emiliano Martinez.

The Gunners fought back twice from behind before Jorginho’s super shot rebounded off the bar and netted against Martinez’s head.

Ollie Watkins and Philippe Coutinho had put the hosts ahead twice in the first half.

The Gunners equalized twice through Bukayo Saka and Oleksandr Zinchenko.

But it was Arsenal who were pushing for a win for their new club after Zinchenko’s first goal.

Eddie Nketiah missed a good chance before Martin Odegaard inexplicably missed a golden opportunity.

However, Jorginho let go and it bounced off ex-Arsenal goalkeeper Martinez.

Gabriel Martinelli then broke forcefully to knock a fourth into the unguarded net to give the Gunners a crucial three points in the title race and return to the top.
