Usman Khawaja was benched for the first two Ash Tests, but he didn’t miss an opportunity to entertain the Adelaide crowd when he was brought on as a substitute.

During the final session of Day 4 of the Second Test in Adelaide, Khawaja was caught doing a small gesture in front of fans.

The fans stood up and applauded as Khawaja finished his game and turned their attention back to the match, with Joe Root and Ben Stokes fight to keep England alive during the Day-Night Test at the Adelaide Oval.

However, Root lost to Mitchell Starc in the final match of the day to give Australia a big boost in the Second Ashes Test.

Ashes 2021-22: Australia takes command in Day-Night Test

England finished Day 4 with a score of 82/4, leaving Australia with just six goals on the final day to take a 2-0 lead in the Ashes.

Australia claimed for 473/9 in the first innings before British bowling with 236.

Marnus Labuschagne scored 103, while David Warner (95) and Steve Smith (93) also made significant contributions to Australia. With the ball, Mitchell Starc shone, scoring four goals, while Nathan Lyon took three.

Today, aided by a half-century from Labuschagne and Travis Head – they scored 51 goals each – Australia have advanced to 230/9 before the opening of the innings, setting England a colossal target of 467 to win.

The bowlers once again took the lead as they took four goals to leave England in deep predicament.

Jhye Richardson gave Australia its first breakthrough after he sent Haseeb Hameed back to sponsor a duck. It was Richardson’s first test car.

Dawid Malan and Rory Burns then had 48 runs for the second match before the former was trapped by Michael Neser in LBW.

Richardson grabbed his second stick as he let Burns (24) take the lead over Steve Smith in a slip.

England captain Joe Root and Ben Stokes then tried to take a look at the day, but Starc gave Australia another match to end the day on high form.

Root, who was hit in the box by Starc in the previous game, scored and Alex Carey made a good card, bringing Australia closer to a 2-0 scoreline.

The hosts beat England with nine shots from long range at Gabba in the first challenge of the Ashes this year. Ashes 2021-22: [Watch] Usman Khawaja shows off his dance moves to entertain the crowd in Test 2
