Arsenal’s style of play suits him better, Mudryk should have joined them and not Chelsea, says his ex-coach

MYKHAILO MUDRYK should have joined Arsenal rather than Chelsea as the Gunners’ style of play would have suited him better, according to his ex-coach.
Andres Carrasco oversaw the winger’s development when he was still an unknown teenager at Shakhtar Donetsk.

Just a few years later, Mudryk became one of the most sought-after players in the world before Chelsea signed the star for £88million.
They beat rivals Arsenal in the bid for his signature but Carrasco has admitted he has doubts about the outcome of the transfer saga.
While he believes the results-oriented culture at Chelsea could be an advantage for the 22-year-old, he also believes Mikel Arteta’s style of football would be better suited to Mudryk’s talents.
Carrasco told Ukrainian website Tribuna: “This is a club [Chelsea] that has changed lately. But it’s good for Mudryk to be at a club that always expects maximum results.
“Now he has to go through an adjustment period. And only time will tell if it was the right decision for him or not.
“Today Arsenal’s style of play could suit Mudryk better, who is good at dribbling and playing one-on-ones. I think it would be better for him.”
Arsenal had been stalking Mudryk for months before big-spending Chelsea hijacked the deal.
The Gunners instead turned to Leandro Trossard to step up their attack as they look to keep Manchester City at bay in the Premier League title race.

Meanwhile, Mudryk will instead have to look forward to bringing Chelsea to the table after joining a Blues side that sat in 10th place.
He made his debut at Anfield last month, where he wowed fans with a sizzling second-half display.
Graham Potter has been in office for less than five months but has already seen a lot while sitting in the hot seat at Stamford Bridge.
His tenure began on a nine-game unbeaten run but then collapsed dramatically after a disastrous return to former club Brighton.
Results slipped further after the World Cup hiatus but record-breaking spending sprees from Todd Boehly and the owner have diverted attention away from the pitch.
World champion Enzo Fernandez and exciting winger Noni Madueke were among the eight names recruited in January.
Many of them could line up for their debut against Fulham tonight.
