PIERRE-EMERICK AUBAMEYANG is said to be being pursued by six European clubs as Arsenal look to get rid of the striker this month.

The 32-year-old has been heavily linked with a departure from the Emirates due to his unpopularity under Mikel Arteta after being stripped of the captain’s armband.

Aubameyang has not featured for the Gunners since December 6 due to disciplinary issues.

And with the Gabon player entering the final 18 months of his contract, Arsenal are now hoping to get his £350,000-a-week salary in their books.

“He is our African brother and we want him to continue to represent Africa the way he did before the issue.”

Adebayor was then asked if he thought there was a way back for him, to which he replied: “At Arsenal, I don’t think so.

“This is what I know because it happened to me too. Not in the same way, but a way back? At Arsenal I would be surprised. [if he had a future].

“But as I’m telling you, he’s a great player, so let’s see how he ends up.”
