Arsenal transfer target Youri Tielemans is refusing to sign Leicester going forward as the midfielder has more trophies in his sights

YOURI TIELEMANS is dying to copy Belgian pal Kevin de Bruyne and win more big trophies.

The Leicester midfield ace, who is a £25million summer target for Arsenal, got his hands on the 2021 FA Cup by scoring the Wembley winner against Chelsea.

Tielemans refused to further fuel talk of a move to the Gunners, but the 25-year-old admits he has his eye on more domestic silverware – as does KDB – who have won ten trophies with Manchester City.

Tielemans said: “Every player wants that. It’s natural when you’re in the game and want to win trophies.

“It’s the best feeling to win trophies. Of course any player would say the same thing, definitely.”

Tielemans showed why Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta made him a transfer target when he brushed aside the Belgium opener in Saturday night’s 1-1 Nations League draw with Wales.

When asked for an update on his future, Tielemans, who has one year left on his Foxes contract, added: “No, sorry. I have commented on this before and there is nothing new. I don’t think this is the right moment and place to discuss it.”

Tielemans will feature in the Red Devils squad against Poland on Tuesday before going on holiday. He said: “We have so many games that we need breaks.”

But Tielemans, who scored seven goals for Leicester last season, is looking to add more goals to his game after scoring for Belgium for the fifth time.

He added: “It was a really good goal from a great combination. Of course if I can add more goals to my game it will help the team more and I will be happy.

“With the national team we always play with a different system than at Leicester.

“It’s different and I’m adapting. I just have to adapt tactically. The coach has asked me to try to join the attacks sometimes when I feel like I can do that.

“Playing for your country is the best thing that can happen to you. It means you are doing well and representing your country. It’s the best feeling ever.”

Will anything top that FA Cup goal? Tielemans replied: “Hopefully I’ve got a few more years ahead of me, maybe one more to come. But for now, that’s for the best.”
