Arsenal transfer news LIVE: Weston McKennie LATEST worth £26m, Moises Caicedo BOOST, Declan Rice ‘gives Gunner’s word’

Wigan axe, ex-Arsenal ace Kolo
Kolo Toure has been sacked by Wigan – after failing to win any of his NINE games.
The ex-Arsenal defender left his role as manager at Leicester in November 2022 to take his first managerial job.
But a hot string of results means the Latics have already scraped the Ivorian with the club bottom of the Championship.
Assistants Kevin Betsy and Ashvir Johal have also departed.
Wigan’s CEO Malachy Brannigan said: “First of all I would like to thank Kolo along with Kevin and Ash for all their hard work during their time at The Football Club.
“Unfortunately, results on the field were not what we would have liked and as difficult as the decision was, the board felt it was necessary to give us the best possible chance of remaining a Championship club next season .
“We know this season is a key period for any football club, including us.
“Therefore we will now work quickly and effectively to ensure the right person is appointed as Wigan Athletic’s next permanent manager, with the immediate aim of remaining in the Second Division for next season.”
