Arsenal Player of the Year, Emile Smith Rowe outshines De Bruyne and Salah as the England midfielder leads Arteta’s top four list

And Smile Rowe Alone is responsible for much of the good feeling at Emirates at the moment.

He has scored nine goals and provided two assists in all competitions – stepping up the record at key times for Arsenal.

The 21-year-old is the North London outfit’s top scorer, ahead of two Bukayo Saka and the captain is stripped Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

And Smith Rowe’s impressive stats are even more astounding when you analyze how much better he does.

The England international, who was first called up to Gareth Southgate’s squad last November, is the best scoring performer of any player at Prem.

In the tournament, he scored eight goals from xG of just 3.6.

It’s a better comeback than the likes of Liverpool going forward Mohamed Salah and the midfielder of Man City Kevin de Bruyne – those with an XG target of 3.5 and 3 respectively.

The best in Prem apart from Smith Rowe when it comes to this measurement is Burnley striker Maxwel Cornet with a score of 4 – after six goals from an xG difference of 2.

Following him was Watford’s Emmanuel Dennis – the only other player ahead of Salah and De Bruyne in fourth and fifth respectively.

The rest of the top 10 features Bernardo Silva, Jamie Vardy, Conor Gallagher, James Ward-Prowse and Bruno Fernandes.

Meanwhile, the next leg of Smith Rowe and Arsenal’s trip is a trip to Molineux to take on Wolves in the Premier League on February 10.

Arteta’s side then faced Brentford, Watford, Leicester, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace.

They are currently two points behind fourth place Manchester United with a game in hand.
