Good morning Arsenal fans
Premier League games due to take place in London next week could be postponed due to police problems following the Queen’s death.
Elizabeth II died Thursday at the age of 96, marking the end of her wonderful 70-year reign.
No sporting events are expected to take place during Her Majesty’s funeral, which is scheduled for Monday 19 September.
But millions of people are likely to descend on London on Sunday, which will strain the Met’s resources to pay tribute to Her Majesty.
That may mean there won’t be enough police officers available for Brentford v Arsenal.
Meanwhile, Aston Villa star Douglas Luiz is keen to join Arsenal in the January transfer window.
According to Football Insider, who claims Luiz told friends he was ready to join the Gunners.
Villa have held talks over a new deal with the midfielder but haven’t made a breakthrough yet.
The Brazilian international’s contract expires at the end of the season and he can start talking about a preliminary contract with foreign clubs from the new year.
It means the north Londoners would still have to pay a fee, with Villa valuing the 24-year-old at £30million, but the asking price could be lowered for fear of losing him for free.
And Shakhtar Donetsk star and Arsenal target Mykhaylo Mudryk has admitted he “couldn’t say no” to the Gunners when they tried to sign him.
Speaking to CBS Sports, Mudryk said: “Obviously my dream is to play in the Premier League.
“Arsenal are a very good team, a very good manager – so I can’t say no to Arsenal from my side!”
He added: “But a transfer is not solely my decision.”
Finally, Arsenal ace Emile Smith Rowe has given the Gunners a welcome boost by reporting back for training
Smith Rowe was reportedly “desperate” after warming up after the Manchester United defeat and was forced to return to the dressing rooms with an injury.
However, team-mate Cedric Soares shared a picture with the attacking midfielder on a pair of exercise bikes.
The England international then uploaded the image to his Instagram Stories and captioned the photo “Let’s go” with a muscle and praying hands emoji.
