Arsenal News LIVE: Gunners thrash Everton, Tierney ‘open’ to Newcastle move, Sterling deal eyed – most recently

Good morning Arsenal fans

Arsenal defeated Everton 4-0 in the Premier League clash in the Emirates.

The Gunners opened the scoring after 40 minutes when Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli doubled the North Londoners’ lead in the first minute of added time.

Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard made the three in the 71st minute before Martinelli completed his brace after 80 minutes.

Meanwhile, Arsenal appear set to seek West Ham superstar Declan Rice’s signature in the summer.

According to The Times, the Gunners have made Rice their priority target for the upcoming transfer window.

Manager Mikel Arteta still needs midfield reinforcements despite Jorginho’s late arrival in January.

But the north Londoners are set for a bidding war for the England international, who is also being eyed by Manchester United and Chelsea.

And Arsenal have received a major injury boost with Gabriel Jesus back in training and “pushing the limits” ahead of a much-anticipated return to action.

Jesus has been out since the 2022 World Cup after injuring his knee while playing for Brazil in Qatar.

Arteta said: “He’s doing more and more on the field. The knee doesn’t react, really positively. He’s just pushing the limits.”

The Spanish tactician added: “We want him back as soon as possible but we also respect the timeframe that the doctors and specialists are giving us.”

Finally, Arsenal star Kieran Tierney is ready to join Newcastle in the summer.

The decision comes after the pecking order fell under Arteta, who favors Oleksandr Zinchenko.

According to The Chronicle, the Magpies are keen to sign Tierney for next season.

The left-back is considered the missing piece in Eddie Howe’s defense puzzle in place of Matt Targett.
