Arsenal make record £105m Declan Rice transfer bid as Arteta seeks to blow up Man City

ARSENAL have made a mammoth £105million bid for Declan Rice.
The Gunners’ third offer for the West Ham captain is a desperate attempt to stave off Manchester City’s moneybags.
Arsenal are reportedly proposing £100m straight for the England midfielder plus £5m in surcharges.
A £90m bid has so far been rejected for Champions City.
The record for a British player is £100m spent by Etihad boss Pep Guardiola on Aston Villa wideman Jack Grealish in June 2021.
The highest aggregate transfer fee in this country is £115million, which Chelsea paid for Benfica midfielder Enzo Fernandez in January this year.
