Arsenal legend Paul Merson gives brutal assessment of Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool after they were thrashed by Wolves

LIVERPOOL manager Jurgen Klopp is running out of ideas after losing to Wolves.
So says Paul Merson, who gave a brutal assessment of the Reds’ performance after the 3-0 defeat by Julen Lopetegui’s side at Molineux.

A Joel Matip own goal gave the Midland giants the lead after just five minutes.
Craig Dawson doubled Wolves’ lead just seven minutes later and Ruben Neves sealed the hosts’ victory in the 71st minute.
That makes it just one win from seven games in all competitions for Liverpool, who also have four defeats.
Merson insists Klopp’s current squad are “a million miles away” from last season’s side who nearly won an unprecedented quadruple.
The Arsenal legend also believes the German tactician may have to make an important decision about his future as he struggles to turn things around.
said Merson Sky Sports: “The first time I see Klopp just sitting there…
“I don’t like the word ‘lost’, he’s not lost but I don’t think he knows what to do now.
“I think he’s watching this time and it’s a million miles from where they were last year, a million miles.

“I think he will wait until the Champions League, I think he will wait for the Real Madrid game.
“If he gets a few players fit, like e.g [Virgil] Van Dijk, it’s a different game when they beat Real Madrid in two legs.
“When I look at it, I don’t see that they do that. Without van Dijk, [Joel] Matip and [Joe] Gomez doesn’t look like a player without him.
“The full-backs have lost their way and the midfield is being rolled over.
“You see players who were a consistent 8 or 9/10 last year who are now a consistent 4 or 5/10.”
