FORMER Arsenal striker Kevin Campbell has urged the club to bring out Manchester United outcast Donny van de Beek to the Emirates.
The Dutch midfielder has been a peripheral figure under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this season, playing just 16 minutes in two Premier League matches.
Van de Beek has failed to establish himself as a key player for the first team since arriving at Old Trafford from Ajax last year.
And there have been rumors that he will be ready to leave the Theater of Dreams in January in search of regular game time as he looks set to be in the Netherlands squad for the World Cup.
Commenting on his future, Gunners icon, Campbell believes the 23-year-old would be a great addition to Mikel Arteta’s squad.
I said Team Highbury: “There is a rumor about van de Beek at Manchester United. It’s not his fault, how is it his fault?
“He was at Ajax, he was unbelievable at Ajax. Signed by Manchester United and they won’t play him. I don’t know, I’m just saying it’s a rumour.
“I just want what’s best for Arsenal and I believe Van de Beek can play if given the opportunity. The boy can play.

“He wants to go out. You never know, maybe they can [loan him to Arsenal].
“At the end of the day, what’s the point of having a player who isn’t happy and obviously, Ole doesn’t like him.
“I think this boy has superpowers, has a great attitude, but he needs to play.
“He can play anywhere around that midfield, he can play hold, eight and attack. So again, we’ve got a versatile man.”
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Van de Beek is open to leaving United in the new year.
Italian reporter tweeted: “The situation of Donny van de Beek is too obvious.
“He loves the club and he is still super professional at coaching, doing his best for Man Utd – but if the situation remains the same, he will leave Manchester United in January.”
