Arsenal have a new £70m transfer offer from Moises Caicedo which has been REFUSED by Brighton despite the possibility of the De Zerbi star leaving

ARSENAL have reportedly seen a new £70m offer for midfielder Moises Caicedo rejected by Brighton.
The Gulls stand defiantly by their position that the 21-year-old Ecuadorian is not for sale in the January transfer window.

Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi revealed on Sunday that Caicedo could leave before Tuesday’s deadline.
But Sky Sports have now called in a new £70million offer from the Gunners which the south coast side were unable to persuade to sell.
And it’s believed Brighton’s position won’t change before the window closes.
Caicedo was told to stay away from training until after the deadline and was ruled out of Brighton’s FA Cup win over Liverpool at the weekend.
It comes after he asked the club to let him go in a social media post on Friday – following Brighton’s decision to reject a £60million offer from Arsenal.
Following the Seagulls’ FA Cup fourth round win, De Zerbi told ITV: “Moises is a good guy. We’ll see what happens tomorrow and over the next few days.
“We hope he stays with us for the rest of the season but that’s a question for the club and Moises.
“Moises is a good guy. In life you can make mistakes. We will find the best solution for the club, for him and for us.”

He then added: “Caicedo is a very, very good guy.
“I can understand him because when you’re 21 and you get the request from a big, big team playing in Europe, I can understand.
“I wish he could finish the season with us, but we’re ready to continue without him.”
De Zerbi then admitted losing Caicedo in the January window would be a huge blow to his side.
And as they’ve already seen Leandro Trossard join Arsenal, the Italian believes they’ll need to bring in players to fill the gap before the window closes.
“We lost Trossard, if we also lose Caicedo it can be a problem for us,” he said. “If we want to fight for Europe, or the maximum on the table.
“If we want to stay like this (at our current level), we can. But I don’t like it.”
Caicedo joined Brighton two years ago for just £5million from Ecuadorian club Independiente.

He has contributed two goals and three assists in 31 games since joining the Premier League team.
Brighton sit sixth in the table, just five points behind Tottenham in fifth with a game in hand.
