The Gunners will bid farewell to the likes of Bukayo Saka and William Saliba when the World Cup kicks off in Qatar in mid-November.

They will be away from Arsenal for up to a month and the Premier League will then restart on Boxing Day.

But for those who stay, Arteta has plans in place to keep them on their toes.

The Standard claim Arsenal’s formidable boss has drawn up plans to whisk his stars to the Middle East.

However, it is not going to Qatar, but to Dubai in the neighboring United Arab Emirates.

Arteta brought his players there in his first season in charge.

And the Gunners also spent some time in Dubai in early 2022 after a winless January.

Arsenal are certainly enjoying a better spell of luck this season, sitting top of the table after back-to-back wins against Tottenham and Liverpool.

And Arteta is hoping a warm-weather training camp will boost morale even further while keeping key players fit and hungry.

Arsenal also plan to play at least one friendly in Dubai as several other Premier League teams travel there during the World Cup break.

The Gunners then plan to hold another friendly in England before returning domestically.

Arsenal’s last game ahead of Qatar 2022 is a trip to Wolves.

And they will resume their campaign at home against West Ham at the end of the year.

Arteta knows the time in between will be difficult, saying earlier this season: “It’s a completely unprecedented season, not just because we’re going to play many weeks of two or three games, but mostly because we have the world cup is coming.

“We don’t know how that will affect us, so we have to look at the bigger picture.

“You have to go from game to game. The performance and the physical and mental condition of the players determine how often we use them, but the schedule is hectic and we need to think carefully.”
