Arsenal fans call Nicklas Bendtner ‘Haaland 1.0’ and say ‘I wish he’d played’ as Lord returns to Emirates after Brighton defeat

ARSENAL cult hero Nicklas Bendtner made a surprise return to the Emirates in the Premier League clash against Brighton.
Bendtner was spotted in the entrance, looking almost unrecognizable with his long blond hair, black hat and dark sunglasses.
However, fans did notice the former forward sporting a retro Gunners jersey from their glory days in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Fans were so happy to see Bendtner that they even dubbed him the original Erling Haaland and claimed he paved the way to becoming the Prem’s top scorer.
However, the former Denmark international’s comeback did not propel his former club to victory as Mikel Arteta’s side suffered a heartbreaking 3-0 defeat by the Seagulls.
The west Londoners’ title hopes have been dealt a devastating blow as Manchester City, who have one game left, need just one win to retain their title.
Watching the trophy slip away from them, Arsenal fans didn’t lose their sense of humor and urged manager Arteta to take Bendtner out of the stands to save the day.
One fan tweeted: “Haaland 1.0.”
Another commented: “Bring Lord Bendtner over here.”
A third wrote: “Get him in the 80th minute Lord Bendtner he scores if he wants to.”

This fan said, “The Good Lord Bendtner aka The OG Haaland spotted on the carpet.”
And he said: “Haaland is just a poor man’s Bendtner.”
Bendtner began his career in Arsenal’s academy and was called up to the senior team in 2005 at the age of 17.
The Dane spent nine years on the club’s books, three of which he was loaned out to Birmingham, Sunderland and Juventus, recording 47 goals and 22 assists in 171 appearances.
