‘Arsenal could actually win the Premier League’ – Piers Morgan leads excited Gunners after Man City loss at Liverpool

PIERS MORGAN led enthusiastic Arsenal fans in claiming they could win the Premier League – after the Gunners were four points clear thanks to Manchester City’s ‘bubble bursting’.
Arsenal’s 1-0 win at Leeds was followed by City’s 1-0 away defeat by Liverpool as drama and controversy plagued both Premier League fixtures.

And while the famed Gunners’ fan Morgan insists he’s “trying to keep calm” about their title chances, he’s clearly failing.
Arsenal’s ninth win in ten Prem games this season extended their lead at the top as second-placed City lost for the first time.
SunSport columnist Piers tweeted: “OMG. Four points ahead…City’s bubble bursts…
“I’m trying to stay calm and I know it’s early days … but ARSENAL COULD ACTUALLY WIN THE FUCKING PREMIER LEAGUE.”
In-form Bukayo Saka defeated Leeds in a game delayed by 40 minutes due to a power failure.
Home sub Patrick Bamford later missed a penalty – before referee Chris Kavanagh sent off Gabriel for kicking Bamford in added time and awarded Leeds another free-kick.
But Kavanagh reversed both decisions after reviewing the incident on the pitchside monitor.
Mo Salah then sank City with a scintillating late strike, with every team furious over decisions in a heated contest, including Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, who was sent off on a complaint towards the end.

But Morgan’s buoyant response sparked skepticism from many online fans, with some suggesting it’s far too early to be excited.
One said: “Lol. Leeds beat you in the second half today. No chance, third or fourth at best.”
Another tweeted: “You really don’t know. I knew Liverpool would win, they’re on the same high energy. Arsenal have ridden their luck and quite a bit.”
And one City supporter wrote: “We lose at Anfield every year. No bubble bursts.”
Commenting on Morgan’s belief that an Arsenal title triumph is possible, another fan posted: “Spoiler alert: they won’t.”
It also drew attention to the TV presenter’s earlier doubts that the Gunners are keeping boss Mikel Arteta.
An observer also argued it was unfair to judge only Sunday’s action.
He tweeted: “Not even City win all of their games in an absolutely impressive way. Sometimes you play badly and still win.
“Sometimes it takes luck on your side to get all three points. The game against Leeds was Arsenal’s worst game of the season so far.”
