Arsenal are sweating from another attacking injury as Reiss Nelson limps a week before Prem’s return from Juventus friendly

ARSENAL have suffered further offensive injury damage after Reiss Nelson limped ahead of the Premier League’s return from their last friendly.
Nelson, 23, who scored against AC Milan in Dubai earlier this week and scored twice in two Premier League games this season, pulled out in the first half of Arsenal’s 2-0 defeat by Juventus hamstring too.

The goals both came from Arsenal’s own misconduct as Granit Xhaka and Rob Holding both broke through their own nets.
Mikel Arteta, who is already without Gabriel Jesus after knee surgery, said: “We don’t know the extent of the injury.
“Having to leave the pitch immediately is not good news, especially for someone like Reiss who is really strong and fast.
“Let’s see what will happen.”
Eddie Nketiah will lead the line for the Gunners when they host West Ham on Boxing Day after Jesus was injured.
The Gunners forward has scored twice in the four mid-season friendlies played by the Prem leader this month but missed a sitter against the Italians.
Arteta has no qualms about his ability to improve.
He said: “Eddie is always ready, he obviously knows that, it gives him an opportunity when Gabi is out and he has to take it.

“But the way he trains every day and the mentality he has gives us no reason to believe he will be anything but super ready.”
Nketiah was advised to leave Arsenal during last season with Crystal Palace heavily linked with him.
However, there was no transfer, now he has the chance to prove himself at the Emirates.
