ARSENAL have sacked ten players including youth star Ainsley Maitland-Niles.
The versatile player had been with the Gunners for 20 years and first signed for the club at the age of six.
Maitland-Niles played a total of 132 times for the club.
He has also been on loan to Ipswich, West Brom, Roma and most recently Southampton.
The 25-year-old will now be looking for a new club as a free agent.
Fans were devastated to see one of their own players leave after his long spell at the club. One said: “I’ll miss the atmosphere and the penalties.”
Another added: “Good luck to everyone and especially to AMN.”
More responded: “It feels like he could have had a future at Arsenal but it hasn’t quite worked out as hoped. Good luck to him.”
Others found his departure disappointing: “Deserves more of a departure than just being named to a list of scholars and academy/women players.”
