ARSENAL are set to make an £18million summer transfer offer for Aaron Hickey, according to reports.
And they are willing to include a sell clause to convince Italian club Bologna of a deal.
Hickey, 20, has been a revelation in Serie A after Hearts made a £1.5m shock two years ago.
The Scotland left-back has made 36 appearances this season with his side finishing 13th.
And Hickey could now be poised for a move to Emirates to play with international team-mate Kieran Tierney.
Mikel Arteta wants better depth on the left side of his defense next term.
And he’s ready to dismiss the Nuno Tavares flop, which is a target for Atalanta.
Hickey would provide competition for Tierney, who has also struggled with injuries over the past 18 months.
But his presence would also allow the ex-Celtic man to step in as a central defender as well.
Gazzetta claims Arsenal are now ready to make an £18m bid for Hickey’s services.

And to convince Bologna a deal is worth striking, the Gunners will also include a clause giving the Italians a claim to a share of Hickey’s next transfer fee.
Arteta wants Hickey to be his third signing this summer.
Arsenal have already signed Brazilian winger Marquinhos and will now welcome Porto playmaker Fabio Vieira.
The Gunners are ready to step up their attack with Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus as well.
And they could even try Napoli’s Victor Osimhen despite the forward being valued at £86million.
