And according to Goal, a host of scouts from Premier League clubs will be at Wembley on Sunday to see him in action.

They say Arsenal and Leicester are keeping an eye on the defender’s situation after investigating a potential transfer.

Meanwhile, the likes of Brighton, Crystal Palace and Southampton will be watching closely how he fares against Forest at the Home of Football.

The news outlet add that Mikel Arteta has identified the England youth international as a target to add depth to his squad upon his return to Europe.

Arteta is said to be in the market for a left-back but it remains to be seen whether Chelsea would sell Colwill to his London rivals.

SunSport understand former Blues gaffer Frank Lampard is keen to snap up the youngster to take him to Everton.

But unlike other teams, Lampard is willing to loan him out for a season to further his development.

It is understood Colwill, who is tied at Stamford Bridge until 2025, will be given a chance to impress Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel in pre-season.

Colwill has enjoyed an excellent season at John Smith’s Stadium, recording two goals and an assist in 31 games in all competitions.

His performances have seen him draw comparisons to Chelsea legend John Terry – particularly after he decided to wear the same No. 26 shirt.

Earlier this month, the teenager said: “I’ll take it, I won’t complain. It’s not a bad thing to be called the new John Terry.

“I didn’t make the comparison myself so the fans and media can make whatever comparisons they want, it won’t affect me.

“John Terry is a club legend and leader, someone every Chelsea centre-back should look up to. A great guy and player. I haven’t had the chance to speak to him too much.”

“When he was around the academy building we would have a few small chats but it was more of a ‘hello, how are you?’ not on a personal level about football or anything like that. “
