Arsenal and Aston Villa suffer transfer blow from Joao Felix as Atletico Madrid star ‘adjusted to PSG move’

ARSENAL have reportedly suffered a setback in their pursuit of Joao Felix as the forward is keen to join PSG.
Felix’s future at Atletico Madrid is uncertain as reports suggest he wants to leave the club.

Atletico CEO Miguel Ángel Gil Marín also revealed that the club are open to letting Felix go at the right price.
That has sparked the interest of several Premier League clubs, some of whom have sent scouts to watch the Portuguese star at the World Cup.
But according to transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio, Felix has his sights set on joining French giants PSG.
However, it’s not clear if PSG are currently interested as Arsenal are set to lead the race for Felix’s signature.
Manchester United, Chelsea and Aston Villa are also reportedly keen on the 23-year-old.
Felix’ agent Jorge Mendes has close ties with Sawiris, the co-owner of Villa, after the Portuguese super agent helped broker Emery’s recent move to Villa Park.
Mendes is pushing Villa as a realistic option for the killer who cost Atletico a staggering £113m when they signed him from Benfica in 2019.
However, Villa boss Unai Emery is aware of Felix’s desire to play Champions League football once a year and is making contingency plans in case the forward refuses his advances.

There are also concerns Felix doesn’t want to live in Birmingham or play for a club of Villa’s stature.
Falling out of favor and out of love with hardline boss Diego Simeone, Felix wants a move despite having three and a half years left on his current contract.
