Argentina won the World Cup after an exciting duel against France.

The two sides battled it out to a 2-2 draw after 90 minutes and both teams scored in extra time to bring the game to penalties.

Argentina played perfectly in the penalty shoot-out, with Gonzalo Montiel scoring the winning penalty.

Any nation that has won a World Cup may display a star over their badge in recognition of the win.

England have a star above the Three Lions badge as a nod to their victory in 1966.

Brazil has the most stars on their badge after winning five World Cup tournaments.

Having now won three times, Argentina are now ahead of France and Uruguay, who have won twice each.

The South Americans are now just one behind Italy and Germany, who have already won the tournament four times.
