‘Are the British okay?’ – Fans split more than £4.50 tartar-filled fish sandwiches on sale at a non-tournament pitch

FOOTBALL fans are wondering whether a FLAVOR fish sandwich in tartare sauce is an appropriate brunch refreshment.
Histon FC fan Andy Clarke took a picture of a cold sandwich containing three fish fingers on a bed of lettuce.
Purple onions are also added – as well as tartare sauce.
Posting a subtle thing on Twitter, Clarke wrote: “History of going against 2nd in the tournament but losing to Halesowen in the 2nd half, and still in the last place of the tournament.
“Food is always a positive though!”
The post was retweeted on the Footy Scran Twitter page, which has 64,000 followers, where it attracted dozens of comments from foodies with mixed reactions.
Massive Sarnie costs just £4.50 at non-league club Cambridgeshire.
One foreign footie fan posted: “Are the Brits okay?”
And Raj Bothal is not a fan either, commenting: “In a bun? What the hell. Fish sandwiches should only be in bread.”
Bread is a major problem for many people, with some criticizing it as ‘undercooked’, ‘raw’ and ‘partially baked’.
Christopher Haslet says he WILL eat it, but with his eyes “closed”.
Another fan even threatened to ‘ring the police bell to report crime’.
But many people think that sacrifice is a beautiful thing.
James Chivers described it as ‘beautiful’ and said he would ‘have it on Gift Day’.
And Histon may have to cater to some more fans, with many saying they will head to Bridge Road Stadium for the fish.
Greg Walton says he’s ‘disappointed with this’, while James Gibbs wants to point out that the club ‘does a great burger too’.
