Michelle’s Bachelorette season finale aired on December 21, 2021. During this time, she had to choose between Nayte and Brandon.

By the end of the show, Nayte was Michelle’s final choice and the couple became engaged.

A source revealed to The Sun that Nayte and Michelle are happier than ever post-season.

However, on June 17, 2022, Michelle announced that the two had parted ways.

“To those who have supported Nayte and I, including Bachelor Nation, I know I speak for both of us when I say that going public hasn’t been easy,” Michelle wrote on her Instagram Story.

“I’m struggling to say that Nayte and I will be going our separate ways but I stand by him knowing the heaviness that is present in both of our hearts as this relationship was very real for us.

“For you, Nayte, you quickly became my best friend and the love I have for you is incredibly strong. I will never stop wanting to see you succeed,” she continued.

“I will always recognize and appreciate that both Nayte and this experience have brought me adventure, support and growth.

“At the same time, I am deeply hurt and will need time and space to process this heartbreak.”

It’s still unclear why the two decided to go their separate ways.

Who is Nayte Olukoya?

Nayte, 27, is originally from Canada but currently resides in Austin, Texas where he works as an Account Executive at DISCO.

He entered Eastern Washington University in Cheney, WA in 2019 and graduated with a degree in Business Administration and a minor in Africana Studies.

In his free time, Nayte can be caught hanging out with his dog or going on a road trip.

Prior to DISCO, he worked at Indeed and as a bartender in the Spokane, Washington area.
