Josh and Bobby knew each other for years before they started dating.

Josh told ‘The Daily Dish’: “If you know it, you know it, and if you just think it’s right, you feel it’s right. On our first date, a real date, I knew I wanted to marry him.

“My parents were engaged at three months and have been married for over 34 years, so sometimes it happens. Some people get engaged and wait and get married three, five years later and get divorced the next day. So with him, I knew he was the one for me. And that’s why I wanted to get engaged.”

The couple got engaged months after their first date in Paris in the summer of 2016.

In September 2017, they wed in a lavish Jewish ceremony at the Beverly Hills Hotel in September 2017.

What did Josh Flagg say about his divorce?

Flagg confirmed the split in a statement posted to Instagram on March 4, 2022.

“Bobby and I are getting a divorce,” he wrote.

“This may sound abrupt, but I felt like I should be transparent from the start rather than burying the headline. This was not a hasty or impulsive decision. We thought a lot before coming to this conclusion. It wasn’t a lack of love but that we both grew in different directions and wanted very different things for ourselves.

“I care deeply for Bobby and have nothing but love and respect for him. I want how we separate to represent that. Thank you all for your unwavering support,” he concluded.

What did Bobby Boyd say about his divorce?

Boyd also released a statement of his own to explain the events to come:

“I wouldn’t change the last 6 years of my life for anything in the world. I met my best friend 6 years ago and fell in love with him. We were inseparable from the first date and we broke up in no time. Josh and I had a whirlwind love story that I will be forever grateful for…

“Since the news broke it may seem sudden to most of you, but Josh and I have spent the last few months figuring this out together. We wanted this to remain private between us and most of our friends and family not involved. If there’s one thing I can say about both of us, it’s that we both gave everything we could to make this work,” he wrote.

“Unfortunately, as we have learned, sometimes love is not enough. We have found that we want different things in life and our paths now look very different. I love Josh with all my heart and will always respect and admire him. I am forever grateful to him for showing me that true love exists.

“And now, today, we both embark on our new journeys. This may be the end of our romantic relationship but I will always consider him part of my family.

“Joshua, I love you and wish you nothing but love and absolute happiness. Thank you all for your love, support and understanding,” he finished.
