Archie Comics Announces One-shot The Fox: Family Values, slated for release in June 2022

Archie Comics will continue the adventures of wary journalist Fox in an all-new comic book series titled, Fox: Family values. Scheduled to go on sale June 18, the one-shot will follow the life and woeful deeds of Paul Patten Jr and his crime-fighting family as they are called upon to save their lives. this day again.

The issue will include many new stories from Vito Delsante and Richard Ortiz, as well as Dean Haspiel (who returns to the character for the first time since his 2015 work). Fox: Hunting Fox), and a retelling of a classic story featuring characters written by Alex Toth.

Debuting in 1940 in Blue Ribbon Comics as a pulp hero, Fox was revived in 2013 through a five-volume mini-series written by Haspiel and Daredevil Writer Mark Waid, followed by a second mini-series, then collected in 2014 The Fox: Freak Magnet and 2015 Fox: Hunting Fox.

“When I plan and draw ten problems about Fox, I’ve basically been given enough latitude to do what I want, and that encourages me to open any doors of surprise,” Haspiel said in a statement. “After a nice five-year hiatus, I wonder where The Fox is these days and realize his ‘monstrous magnet’ curse has become a family affair. I decided to explore a lifetime story about a man and his wife and their son and how each of them dealt with their ideas of what it means to be a hero. I also wanted to provide a story that would introduce The Fox to new readers and spark the possibility of more stories! ”

Writer Vito Delsante, who previously worked with Haspiel on comics like Batman Adventures and short backup series Fall out by Speakeasy Comics’ Beowulf, joined Haspiel with the task of writing the script for Fox: Family values. “What makes The Fox stand out is that you can tell almost any story with him,” Delsante said. “Knowing that there are very few narrative constraints to what you can tell The Fox is what makes him unique in the world of comics.”
