Antony’s agent ‘travels to Europe’ Man Utd ‘considers’ Oxlade-Chamberlain swoop

Morning Man Utd fans

Man Utd are reportedly in talks over a £51m transfer for Ajax winger Antony.

The 22-year-old Brazilian had a productive year under Erik ten Hag at Ajax last season, registering 12 goals and 10 assists in 33 games in all competitions.

According to GOAL, Antony’s agents have flown to Europe to talk to United about a £51million transfer.

According to the report, an agreement could be reached between the two parties in the coming days.

Meanwhile, given United’s reported interest, Frenkie de Jong’s agent will be in talks with Barcelona over his client’s future.

According to Mundo Deportivo, De Jong’s representative Ali Dursun is set to fly to the Catalan capital in the next few days.

The Spanish broadcaster add that coach Xavi would only agree to the midfielder’s departure if the club sign a worthy replacement.

The Barcelona manager’s preferred choice in this case would be Manchester City star Bernardo Silva.

In other news, Liverpool have agreed personal terms with Benfica star Darwin Nunez… but Manchester United want to hijack their deal.

Jurgen Klopp is keen on completing the £86m deal while looking for a replacement for Sadio Mane, who is tied at Bayern Munich.

But according to Portuguese reporter Pedro Sepulveda, United are not ready to give up the Uruguayan’s signing.

He told Sky Sports on Thursday that Red Devils bosses will meet with Nunez’s agent Jorge Mendes.

Finally, United are keen on Leicester’s Wesley Fofana, according to RMC Sport.

The 21-year-old centre-back missed much of the season that just ended due to injury.

The Foxes are rumored to be demanding a £68million fee, with Chelsea also eyeing the Frenchman. Antony’s agent ‘travels to Europe’ Man Utd ‘considers’ Oxlade-Chamberlain swoop
