Antonio Rudiger FREE, Cristiano Ronaldo update, Declan Rice warning, Pochettino ‘exit’ from PSG

Good morning Man Utd fans

West Ham manager David Moyes has warned the Premier League giants interested in Declan Rice that they will have to spend more than £100m to secure his services.

Rice has been linked with Manchester United as well as rivals Manchester City and Chelsea after establishing himself as an elite talent for club and country.

“You’re going to need huge sums of money to get close,” says Moyes.

“I said in the summer that I think Declan Rice is worth £100m. It’s your chance to get him for cheap. You can prepare your mind for what I am talking about now.

“I feel his commitment. He has a contract and we are really pleased to have him. He’s definitely been here for a few years.

“He’s like a special edition Declan Rice, there aren’t many like him.

“He is said to play as well as any midfielder in European football, and the price is very expensive in January, isn’t he?”

Meanwhile, United are growing increasingly confident that they can appoint Paris Saint-Germain manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Pochettino is under more pressure in France after PSG’s penalty shootout defeat to Nice in the French Cup.

According to Le Parisien, the Argentina head coach’s last hope is to land in the Champions League this season.

But the former Tottenham manager’s future will depend on whether they get deep into the 13-time winner against Real Madrid in the round of 16.

The Mirror reports that Pochettino is the ‘no. 1 candidate’ to take over as interim manager Ralf Rangnick at Old Trafford.

Rangnick is expected to move into a mentoring role at the end of the season.

And the German head coach hopes Bruno Fernandes as well as Jadon Sancho will be able to play in Tuesday night’s trip to Burnley.

Sancho scored in last night’s penalty shootout loss to Middlesbrough, while Fernandes also knocked.

Rangnick told MUTV: “Jadon is not knocked down, he just feels tired.

“Bruno was hit in the back but could play the whole match.

“Hopefully, on Tuesday, we’ll have all those players back.”

Ultimately, United are interested in signing Juventus star Matthijs de Ligt in the summer.

According to Calciomercato, the Red Devils joined Barcelona and Bayern Munich in the race to transfer De Ligt.

The Italian newspaper reported: “Juventus is preparing for a summer in which Matthijs de Ligt will be considered one of the brightest pieces on the market.”

Rangnick is keen to bring in another defender to increase his team’s chances of a silver cup challenge.
