ROMELU LUKAKU has reportedly emerged as a key transfer target for Tottenham.
The 29-year-old forward is expected to leave Chelsea this summer – just a year after rejoining the club for a staggering £97.5million fee.
With 15 goals in 44 games in all competitions, his form this season has been far from outstanding.
He has also fallen out of favor with many Chelsea fans following an interview he gave in December.
But he could get another chance in the Premier League as Tottenham have emerged as potential bidders.
According to Corrire Dello Sport, Antonio Conte will try to convince the Chelsea star to join Spurs.
The Italian worked with Lukaku for two years while managing Inter Milan so the prospect of a reunion could be attractive for both sides.
Conte and his staff are looking to build a squad that will be in contention for the Premier League title next season and they believe the striker could form a deadly partnership with Harry Kane.
Lukaku has made it clear he would prefer a return to Inter Milan if he left Chelsea.
In an explosive interview last year, he revealed he never wanted to leave the black and blues.

He also said that being at Inter was the “best moment” of his career.
The Serie A giants are keen to reunite with Lukaku but financial troubles could prevent a move.
However, the Belgian is now willing to take a £3million-a-year pay cut to ease a transfer.
